05:46:19 BlueyHealer: How does Anonshop legally exist then?
05:54:31 321bob321: isnt it a exchange or swap now ?
06:09:25 jeffro256: It takes payment in XMR and executes Amazon orders on your behalf. Not an exchange / swapper as I would normally define it. Merchant service perhaps?
06:11:06 jeffro256: BlueyHealer: Why not? Kraken legally exists in the USA and does money transmission with XMR, which has much more stringent restrictions than merchant services
06:15:25 BlueyHealer: But Kraken does KYC.
06:15:51 BlueyHealer: And I was specifically asking why the aforementioned service couldn't exist but Anonshop can.
06:30:23 zombie:catgirl.cloud: You win some you lose some
06:32:54 jeffro256: I would bet that it has to do more with the aforementioned service getting spooked than a "real" legal threat. That happened a lot in the Tornado cash / samourai wallet era. If Anonshop needs KYC legally, then shouldn't every brick and mortar store in America who sells gift cards for cash need KYC?
06:43:56 BlueyHealer: I mean that what is the difference between these two
16:36:38 torir:matrix.org: Even if something is technically legal, a business might rightly be scared of regulatory pressure. We've seen governments pressure businesses in various ways in the past even when the business is fully legal.
17:16:19 Guest83: using libera chat first time
19:16:53 spit: XMR to the stratosphere
19:17:20 kypwny: nyan
19:18:10 Cindy: XMR to.. normal
19:18:22 Cindy: that's all i care about
21:16:31 zombie:catgirl.cloud: To the moon.
21:19:12 Cindy: no, no moon stuff
21:21:23 moneromoooo: ... callisto then ?
