I think just a lot of join/leave spam without messages.

does --tx-notify in monero-wallet-rpc notifies on mempool transactions?
14:16:38
ufo808:matrix.org:
I assume I will get notification only after first confirmation because it returns transaction hash, correct?

Hi all, i'm having troubles with the monero-pool software, it's my 3rd block in 2 months and we are only 2 miners, me and a friend. no payout, the xmr stays in the pool wallet: payment-threshold = 0.05 share-mul = 0.5, and we have pending payouts of 0.75
14:50:57
nmateo:
If someone knows or can point me to a fix, that would be great, thanks.

jtg Hi, I want to use monero-pool as part of mining captcha for my service and I have a question. Can I just set pool-fixed-diff = 10 000 so miners always will send me shares one per second (assuming that miner's hashrate is 10kH/s). And how I can track shares? Can I just add call to my function in this place https://github [... too long, see https://mrelay.p2pool.observer/e/mdXUzekKZjN5NVpM ]
15:16:50
moneromooo:
nmateo: did you check the pool.log file ? You may need to configure logs to log more first.
15:17:31
moneromooo:
powowc: fixed diff will not ensure clockwork share submission. PoW is random.
15:17:52
powowc:calitabby.net:
yea, I understand. I mean on average
15:18:01
moneromooo:
On average, then yes.
15:18:56
moneromooo:
There is software to implement "captcha-like" stuff also if you did not see it: primo (on repo.getmonero.org).
15:19:22
moneromooo:
Only does web server, but it's meant to be extensible.
15:23:22
powowc:calitabby.net:
I've heard about primo, but I think it's too complicated for my case. If I understand correctly what I want can be reached simply adding call to my function to process miner's share in right place and then I'll be on my own with my code. I just need to get approve from someone who knows monero-pool if I found right place in code or not
15:27:14
nmateo:
moneromooo: I will in 2 hours when i can thanks, should I look for something specific like "payout" in the log or change the verbosity ?
15:34:51
moneromooo:
Yes, something like this. IIRC it's good at giving you errors.

ufo808 tx notify should be once in mempool then again on ,1st confirmation, i always forget so just sanity check this. And be aware that whatever you do on tx-notify will happen if the wallet is syncing, so have a simple db to check before doing any heavy operation

Ok so now pending balances has been paid out, but my pool wallet still has ~0.70 xmr with 0 pending on each addresses mmm

powowc:calitabby.net:
Do I understand right, that share is sidechain block, so too low hashrate will result it a lot of orphaned nodes?
19:40:23
powowc:calitabby.net:
And there will be huge concurrency for every share?
19:44:05
powowc:calitabby.net:
I mean I will have a lot of shares with small time diff, so most of sent shares will be rejected?

A couple of days ago there was a discussion here about a hypothetical monerogestapo, are there any lawy/regulator adjacent monero channels where one can continue the discussions?

they definitely don't like the comparison

i know what a gestapo is i meant with monero lol
23:53:41
geonic:
I guess an example of monerogestapo would be so-called "monero community members" who work for blockchain surveillance firms and are actively working on sabotaging monero from within
23:56:09
geonic:
some of them even take part in monero research lab meetings!
