19:50:19 ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: Also, you said youbhave flatpak / flathub installed. Save yourself the headache and just use the monero gui flatpak from flathub
20:33:08 neospal2:matrix.org: Thank you. Yes, I need to learn more about Flatpak/Flathub. I am sure it will save a lot of headache. As I mentioned I now have (by some miraculous resolution of the "idconfig failed exit status 256" action) what, appears to be, a functioning Monero application on my Linux. I have not done the set up yet because I am not sure what level I should set it up in. I consider myself a "<clipped message>
20:33:09 neospal2:matrix.org: Beginner" but am inclined to set it up on the "Advanced" setting because it promises better privacy. I am also interested in the extra features. I just need to learn more about the "running a node", "mining" and system requirements for downloading the blockchain.
20:33:43 jpk68:matrix.org: You might want to move to the #monero-support channel :)
20:42:23 neospal2:matrix.org: Thank you. Where would I find that?
20:43:02 jpk68:matrix.org: You join the room called #monero-support:monero.social
20:43:54 neospal2:matrix.org: Thank you!🙂
20:44:17 jpk68:matrix.org: No problem
