00:18:30 misha[m]1: Hi all, just here to learn more about monero. What is currently the best way to buy XMR with fiat?
00:18:50 misha[m]1: Without uploading identity documents etc.
00:20:02 ofrnxmr: Retoswap
00:54:45 monjerano:matrix.org: @ofrnxmr: Does it have better user friendliness, better liquidity or better safety than Basic swap?
00:54:45 monjerano:matrix.org: Or all of it? 😄
00:58:03 misha[m]1: br-m: Thanks! I looked into it. I think I'm going for bitpapa though.
01:08:45 ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: @monjerano:matrix.org: Basicswap doesnt have fiat at all
01:09:48 ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: @monjerano:matrix.org: Better safety = no
01:09:48 ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: Bettrr liquidity = yes
01:09:48 ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: Better user friendliness = depends. Installation/setup? Yes. Swapping? No.
01:14:13 monjerano:matrix.org: @ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: Okay, if people need an all in one, it seems very reasonable.
01:20:44 misha[m]1: Retoswap threw an error on my machine (NixOS).
01:20:51 misha[m]1: That's why I ended up on bitpapa
01:24:18 misha[m]1: Retoswap looks good, and I was about to buy some XMR with Amazon gift card, but in order to buy the XMR I need to have 0.10 XMR in my wallet. And the entire point is to buy XMR...
01:39:53 plowsof: Amazon gift card != fiat but there are no deposit offers, better to ask about how this would work in #haveno or if there would even be someone willing to sell xmr for a gift card that they can just obtain themselves via one of the many gift card sites instead of dealing with possible scams lol
01:56:33 plowsof:matrix.org: @datahoarder:monero.social: has someone named themselves xmr 😆
02:02:58 DataHoarder: They did and they joined #monero-dev
02:03:06 DataHoarder: I guess that should be part of the dictionary
02:51:49 321bob321: Did rino wallet go opensauce after it closed ?
11:21:22 plowsof: im not sure what is/isnt open source but they have their branch of monero/-cpp/-ts a rino sdk at https://github.com/rino-wallet
11:25:26 rbrunner7: If I remember correctly they claimed that users can verify the code somehow, and that would certainly mean "open source". Here https://github.com/rino-wallet/frontend: "How to build it and verify it matches RINO online version"
11:26:33 rbrunner7: Hmm, looks like the code for the backend is not there ...
11:33:04 plowsof: a blog post for their sdk @ https://web.archive.org/web/20240415112155mp_/https://www.rino.io/blog/automate-payments-using-rinos-sdk
11:33:44 plowsof: although "The first thing you need to run the SDK is a RINO enterprise account." .. not sure how that would work now lol
